MONKS OF PERPETUAL ADORATION
following St. Francis of Assisi at
THE MONASTERY OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
We are founded for the cloistered life to be at the heart of the of the praying Church. In our hidden life we seek God, ponder His Word, and call upon Him in solitude so that by giving ourselves totally in union with Christ, our lives may bear fruit for God and souls.
"This is not a Canonically Erected community yet, however, the Bishop of the Diocese of Port Elizabeth has given us his blessing to go off and live this way of life that we feel God is calling us to do. It is the first male contemplative community in South Africa. The need for such a community is long overdue. With the grace of God and the support of His people this community is going to fill a huge hunger both for those who feel called to this way of life and for our laity who have the need to retreat to such a monastery to deepen their spiritual lives and allow their relationship with Christ bear the fruits of this contemplation."
